CCTV footage captured people in dark clothing and masks taking the minibus, which belonged to Alvechurch FC. The club's chairman, Richard Thorndike, said he expected the minibus to be safe during a match. However, the thieves managed to break the lock and get the vehicle started in a matter of minutes. Tamworth FC has released a statement asking supporters and local residents to check their cameras and doorbell cameras to see if they pick up the vehicles leaving. The incident is currently being investigated by Staffordshire Police.
